Lost my mojo...

But I think it's coming back now! Having Mark at home in the evenings now has really messed with my evening routine. I had it where the boys were in bed by 8:30 and then I'd come downstairs to play till whenever. Well, I don't think the boys have been in bed on time in a week! And then, for some reason, I feel guilty leaving Mark up here by himself! What's up with that??? LOL! Anyway...I tried to scrap last night to no avail...just wasn't working. But today, I found the sketch challenge at BackPorchMemories.com and that seemed to help me out ALOT!!! They do this challenge every month for a spot as a guest DT member--so fun! And maybe, just maybe, I'll win one day! LOL! I can only post my page at BPM until the contest is over, so mosey over there and check it out! It'll be in the Contests and Challenges section of the gallery...under August DT challenge or something like that! Here's the link: http://www.backporchmemories.com/gallery2/showphoto.php?photo=3731

Friday the 13th

Started off not so good--had to take P to the doc because he'd been running a fever on and off since last night. Turns out to be a virus of some sort.

We turned the little booger's car seat to forward facing today...could've done it 2 months ago, but I just couldn't... :( He'd getting a haircut next week too. I've had 2 people call him a girl, so I guess it's time! :(

I think my sinuses are starting to act up...I've had a headache all day! I'm getting ready to head to bed. I'm never in bed before midnight!

I tried to get the cutest picture of P today...he was sitting here in the floor and I turned to look at him and he had his play phone up to his ear just chatting away! Of course, when the camera came out, he quit! LOL!

A hasty decision....

OMG! I can't believe that Mark and I made this decision! Basically, he's back home. With no job!!! WTH?!?!?!?

Well, here's the whole long, drawn out story...We (the boys and I) went to SC Tuesday evening to stay the night with Mark. Since he wasn't sure he'd be going out Wednesday or not, we stayed in SC pretty much all day yesterday. I visited several scrapbook stores and just killed time. Mark finds out he won't leave until Thursday morning, so, he gets a new hotel room around 4 pm. We hang out a little and then go to dinner. Oh, during all this, my cousin calls and we decide to go visit her after dinner. On our way from my cousin's house to take Mark back to the hotel, I said something that I couldn't believe!!! I said, "If you just come home and draw unemployment, we still have our stimulus money and we're getting money from refinancing our house. Plus, with our refinance, we won't have a house payment until September 1. We can cancel the Dish service and internet if we have to." Yeah, I said that!!! So, somewhere between exits 50-something and exit 60, we decided that Mark was coming home. SCREW IT!!!! LOL! Ya'll, he was beyond MISERABLE! His nerves were so bad, he wasn't sleeping and his stomach was continually messed up. I couldn't sit back and watch my husband be in complete misery! I just couldn't! Like Mark said last night, being unemployed and trying to figure out how to make ends meet doesn't scare us as much as him being gone did! I still can't believe we did this!

But, while in SC, I found a really nice scrapbook store in Spartanburg called Scrapbook Creations. GREAT big crop area with all kinds of die cutters--I think I saw a Cricut Expression too (maybe that was the other store?). Anyway, you know what made me fall in love? THE KID'S PLAYROOM!!! Oh yeah! Shopping without having to listen to the boys fight and without having to make them keep their hands off of stuff! I walked in with all 3 of them and the ANGEL comes up and asks the boys if they wanna go play and I thought I'd died and gone to heaven!!! LOL! AND, this store has an ice cream/coffee shop on the other side! You could stay there all day and literally, not need to leave for anything!

Boy it's been a while...

So much has been going on here, it's nuts!

Harrison had his preschool graduation on May 13th. The kids sang about 20 songs. Did he participate???? NOOOOOO! He stood up there like a knot on a log! Crazy boy! The following Saturday was the awards day for his Soccer team. Would he go get his trophy? NOOOOOO! Oh well. Can't make them do what they don't want to, right?

The same day of H's graduation, Pierson cut tooth #8! That little rascal just thinks he needs to grow up! He will play peek-a-boo now by either covering his head with a blanket, shirt, whatever or will just cover his eyes with his hands. Too darn cute I tell ya! In the last week or so, he's started taking naps BY HIMSELF!! Do you know how much this has helped me now that I don't have to hold him while he sleeps??? We've started giving him more "table" food. He LOVES graham crackers 'cause he can feed himself and of course they are tasty! He really enjoyed some mashed potatoes the other night when we went to Bob Evan's to eat dinner. OH, and ICE CREAM! That boy will just pitch himself a little tantrum when the ice cream is gone! LOL!

And Nevan? Well, he's just Nevan...growing like crazy out of his baby fat and looking more and more like a little boy. As devilish as he is, God I love that boy! All he has to do is flash those baby blues at me!

And speaking of Baby Blues!!! I won a contest over at www.mycreativescrapbook.com!! It was a sketch contest and let me tell ya--that sketch was AWESOME! The page I made practically put itself together! NO kidding! LOL! I can't tell you how excited I am! Here's a link to their blog if you wanna check it out! http://www.mycreativescrapbook.blogspot.com/

Mark's last day of work at Freightliner is Friday. He will leave Sunday to go to Greer, SC to have his orientation and begin training with Swift Transport. We won't see him for 6 weeks! I am SOOOOO not looking forward to this! But we have to do what we have to do, right?
