It's official!!!

Harrison's an official soccer player now! LOL! He got his uniform tonight and they have their first game on Saturday morning. He's sooo excited! He had to sleep with his uniform shirt tonight! He's such a funny kid! Can't wait to get pics of him playing!

Did something "new" this evening...FIL/MIL couldn't watch Nevan & Pierson while I took H to soccer practice because FIL is sick. So I called SIL and DH's niece came over and stayed with N & P! She's going to be a Freshman in HS this year (yikes!) so I feel like she's old enough now. And I was only gone an hour! She might get more employment in the future! LOL!

Let's see--5 days until little booger's birthday! WWAAAAHHHHH!!
12 days until my Pampered Chef Party.
16 days until my 34th b-day--ugh!
18 days until the 2-day crop I'm going to!!! YAY!

Tooth #7 is here!

Pierson cut another bottom tooth, the one to the left of the center two. I knew it was coming, because he would bite me when he was nursing---grrrrrr! Hurts like you-know-what! But he only does that when there's a new tooth on the way. How many more teeth to go????

I've been a scrappin' fool today. Decided to make a baby album for a friend who is having a GIRL! Do you know how fun it is for me to play with PINK paper?!?!?!?! I'm gonna get this blog thing figured out so I can put some of my stuff on here... Oh, and this album is gonna be 8.5x11--haven't really worked in that size much so that makes it fun too.

Guess it's time for an update!

We had a great Easter. Went to church, to my grandma's for lunch, then to my dad's to hang out. The EB brought the boys kites and they had a ball trying to fly them!

Nevan is making strides in the pottying thing--he's gone 3 nights this week without peeing in his pullup at night! YAY! Could we be on our way to only 1 in diapers?????

We had some gorgeous weather this week which warranted lots of outside play! Did I post about Wednesday's playdate??? Man, I can't remember! I'll have to look! LOL! No, I didn't! Here's what I posted on the MB at Scraplove!

Let me just tell you...we had a great day overall! Except for about 5 minutes of it!The park we went to today is not my fav but it was where the playdate was and the boys needed to play! The playground is situated about 25-30 from some woods. There are some trails in the woods. THe one little short trail basically goes in on one side about 10 feet and turns and comes out on the right hand side--if the boys are on it, I can still see them the whole length of trail. That's fine. But today, I'm sitting on the bench talking with my friend and I had JUST looked to see where H was. He was right at the beginning of another trail and there were a bunch of other kids and moms there, getting ready to walk it. Well, not 30 seconds later, I look again and the group is walking down the trail. SO I figure H is following them. By the time I get in the woods, the group has turned the corner and I can't see them. All the time I'm calling for H. So I finally catch up with what I "think" is the group and they had SPLIT! So now I don't know for sure where H is! So I'm screaming at the top of my lungs and running up and down trails! What was maybe 5 minutes seemed like an eternity!!! Then I heard my friend call to me to say she had him! He was with the 2nd group--with a mom that I knew (I hadn't seen her in the group when they were getting ready to walk). I didn't know weather to hug and kiss him or strangle him when I got back to him! I opted for a scolding and then a hug and kiss and a cry!Needless to say, we've had several talks today about him ASKING permission to go ANYWHERE with ANYONE!!! I we will continue to have these talks until it is DRILLED into his head!!!'Bout scared me to death!!!!

Took some baby clothes to the consignment store yesterday and then went to the LSS. Got some of the new Cosmo Cricket papers and some cardstock. Then Emily came last night and we played until almost midnight!

Supposed to have a playdate today at the park, but we're back to winter weather today, so that's up in the air now!

Suzy Homemaker or Soccer Mom!

LOL! Well, you may now call me either of the two! Last night, I made my first ever loaves of homemade bread! YUMMY! I was sooo happy that they came out!

Then this morning, we signed Harrison up for Soccer! I hope he stays as excited about it thru the next two months as he was this morning! I thought we'd just go in and fill out paper work and they'd say, "He's on the team." But they actually do assessments of each player to find out their "skill" level so they can place them with team mates of the same level. So H was SOOOOO happy that he got to "play" today! LOL! We were waiting for one of the assessments and he's jumping around in a circle chanting, "I wanna play soccer!" It was so funny! We signed up at the Presbyterian Church in Stanley...I'm not sure if they just play teams from that church or if they play other churches. WE go Monday night for orientation and to meet his coach. We'll find out then what the practice schedule will be. We won't know about games until closer to the end of the month. I do know the first games are on April 5th! Pierson's b-day!

Crazy, crazy day...

Got up to whiney boys this morn. Harrison wanted to go to his "new" school--he doesn't understand that he can't go until August!!! And Nevan, well, I couldn't figure him out. Thought he was just tired. Got in the van to take him to school and he says, "Mommy, my ear hurts!" Great. So, I call our family doc and leave a message for him wanting to know if I should take him to the ENT since this is about the 3 or 4 ear infection he's had in the past couple of months. He said he thought that would be a good idea, so we're back to the ENT tomorrow at 2. Then this afternoon, took H to the dentist for a cleaning. Thought he had a tooth that needed a filling when we were there last time. This time, nothing! YAY! They were able to do his panoramic xray and he does have an extra permanent tooth to go with his extra baby tooth! Doc isn't real concerned about it right now, but stated that since we KNOW he's gonna need orthodontic work, that they would determine which extra tooth would need to be removed at that time. He said just to let him loose teeth like a normal kiddo and we'd deal later! Asked him about getting Nevan in for a cleaning--so he gets to go Thursday! And the doc also looked at P's teeth! I told him about him grinding them. They are SUPER nice at this dentist office!

Then momma tells me she's thinking of leaving Bill. Okay. Seems he's into something that she's not and it's ruining their relationship. Now that I think about, things have seemed "tense" the last couple of times we've been there. I just don't know where the road is gonna take her, but I hope it leads her to TRUE happiness. Finding a place to live and figuring out how to pay for it is one hurdle, but I guess she will figure that out. I did tell her that she could come live with us for a while if she needed to. I'm not gonna let her live on the streets! I just wish she'd find a man who doesn't have PROBLEMS!!!!! Or, maybe, she should just stay away from them all together!

Quick update on life...

Well, Mr. Pierson has yet another tooth--the one on top left, next to the center one. And the boy GRINDS his teeth! I swear it sounds like he's gonna break one off when he does it! I hope he's just doing it because of the other teeth bothering him...I'd hate to have to get him a mouth guard at 3!!!

This was a sad week...a couple at church lost their 2 month old baby on Tuesday. So sad. It has really made me appreciate even more, the fact that my children are (seemingly) healthy. This baby had a clean bill of health too...had just had his 2-month well baby check on Monday. From what I understand, at autopsy, the baby's heart was significantly enlarged and upon further examination, it was found that there was a heart valve that was not formed properly. Had the baby shown ANY symptoms prior to the sudden onset he had Tuesday, they could've done surgery to repair his valve. I'm sure this news was devastating to his family, but I'm glad they were able to find a cause of his death--his mother was a Labor & Delivery nurse at one time so I'm sure she was playing every scenario thru her head. But, this family has an EXTREME amount of Faith...no doubt that they KNOW God does things in HIS time and by HIS will. Something that we are not to question. They will be okay. I didn't get to go to the funeral, but it was told to me that the baby's parents wrote a letter to the congregation that was read by the pastor and that it stated that they had "learned to respect the Lord even more thru this death". If a family of such great Faith can LEARN from this experience, so can I!!!!

Okay, enough of the sad stuff. Took P back to the doc for a weight check--he stayed the exact same! But the doc is okay since he didn't LOSE any weight. While we were there, I saw the doc too. I woke up Thursday morning and absolutely couldn't hear out of my left ear. He took one look at my ear and said I had an ear infection. Really??!!?? LOL! He couldn't believe it didn't hurt! Which it only did when there was a change in pressure--like a yawn, or bending over--something like that. So, I've been on antibiotics for 3 days now and I STILL can't hear! I just wish this junk would break up so I didn't feel like I was in a tin can! Is it spring yet???

Phew! What a week! Took H to the doc Monday morning--he had the flu...Mark came home from work Tuesday morn with a fever of 102*--I'm assuming he had a touch of the flu. I started feeling crummy Tuesday evening, went to the doc Wednesday morn--I have the flu! I thought I was gonna recover quick because Thursday morn, I felt great! Nope! Just a nice little trick that this particular strain likes to play! I do feel like I'm back to the land of the living today--I hope it stays this way! You should see all the laundry that needs to be folded!!! UGH! And I'm stripping beds today!
