Happy, happy, joy, joy!!!!

Well, we've known for about 2 weeks now that Mark is going back to work!!!! Freightliner is hiring back about 650 of the laid off workers and he was high enough on the totem pole to be called back! He starts tomorrow!!!! It's gonna be an adjustment getting used to him NOT being here again! Thank goodness the boys will start school soon!!!!

Speaking of school...got H's teacher assignment. Her name is Ms. Newell. Can't wait for SIL to get home today to see if she's been there or if she is replacing the teacher who retired. Here's a funny...when I told H his new teachers name was Ms. Newell, he replied, "I don't like Ms. NOODLE!!!" ROFL!!!! I corrected him and I PRAY he doesn't call her that when he gets to school! We have "Meet the Teacher" night on the 21st...may have to share the story with her! LOL!

I discovered that Pierson had finally cut his bottom right side molar a few days ago. One more molar to go and then eye teeth and he should be done!!! He's still not walking, but I'm not bothered! Not looking forward to chasing all 3 of them! LOL!

We went to the BEACH!!!! Yep! Took a MUCH needed vacation! After we found out that Mark was going back to work, we knew we didn't have much time and if we were gonna go, we had to go NOW! So we booked a room for 2 nights...ended up adding a night after we got there! The first night, the boys were sooooo excited! They were driving us NUTS! They wanted to do EVERYTHING right then! After the excited died down a bit the next day, they were great. H found a cool lizard at the Tanger Outlets...he was as green as a blade of grass on the cement, but when H got him, he changed to brown!!! I would have let him keep it, but we didn't have anything to put him in. He was really neat! Then one day on the beach, a guy had 2 crabs he had caught...one was as big as my hand!!! The boys were okay with them when the guy was holding them, but when he let them go and they started walking sideways, they were screaming! Found lots of sharks teeth too...Nevan actually found the biggest one and we think it's actually only HALF of one! I wish we were still there!

More of the same old, same old

Hold on, Harrison has just informed me that Pierson has a booger...okay, I'm back! LOL! Gotta love BOYS!

Our excitement lately has been that Pierson got his first haircut last Friday. He did great! I didn't have her cut it too short since he's got that wonderful double crown and it's just now laying down! LOL! But it does look better...it's not so long on his neck now. Makes him look more like a little boy! He also got his 2nd one year molar--the right top one. So glad that thing is thru...he was a little cranky!

The other boys are fine...Harrison asks me frequently if he can go to school "NOW?" He doesn't understand he's got about 6 more weeks! And Nevan's still being the typical head-strong, independent 3 year old he is!

I went on another job interview last Friday. So far, I haven't heard anything out of it...I guess maybe I didn't make the cut. They said they'd let me know something the beginning of the week...it's Wednesday now.

Having a playdate here tomorrow for one of the mom's groups I'm in...so far it's 3 moms and about 5 other kiddos! YIKES! This could be interesting! Gotta get off of here and go clean!

A little update...

to what's going on in our world. Pierson learned how to be an "Indian" AND blow kisses the same day last week! He's soooo cute! And 3 days ago, I discovered his first molar--the one on the top left side. Harrison lost his 3rd tooth on the 19th. Pierson's figured out that he likes to hold your hands and walk in front of you too. Lord, I can't keep that boy little!!! Still haven't cut his hair--I can't do it yet! LOL!

I went for a job interview yesterday!!! OMG! Not what the plan was, but hey. I told Mark I'd go back to work if I needed to for a while and if I get the job, who knows? I might like it! LOL! Anyway, the interview I had yesterday was with a recruiter for Caromont Healthcare and she told me that if she recommended me to the manager at Hospice (which is where the job is) they would call me for a 2nd interview if interested. I got a call for the 2nd interview yesterday afternoon!!! If I get it, I'll be a Medical Records Clerk. The pay isn't THAT great, but they have lots of benefits that make up for it! Like, get this, Vision insurance that covers LASIK!!! OMG!! Can you schedule my appt now??? And Educational assistance!! I could go to school and have help paying for it! You get discounts at the hospital pharmacy on prescription drugs and discounts at the hospital cafeteria, and there's a Fitness Center that is free for employees! This is all in addition to the normal stuff like insurance, retirement, PTO, etc. I'm having mixed feelings since I've not worked since Nevan was born and he and Pierson have always had me here at their beck and call. But I wonder if I'll be a better mom by going to work and getting away for a while. KWIM??? YOu know, absence makes the heart grow fonder??? Some days I'm not too fond of them! LOL! But on the other hand, I'm probably gonna like having my own money--esp. if I keep working after Mark goes back to work! CAn you say "Canon Rebel"???? LOL!
